  Top STUPID criticisms of the WTS

  there are certainly enough valid criticisms of the wts and the jw religion, but a significant number of often-repeated criticisms of the religion are, imnsho, just ludicruous and serves to take attention away from the real issues.

  significant problems with the wts includes, but are not limited to, the shunning policy, the blood issue and of course the corporate policy of hiding child molestors.. here is a list of criticisms of the wts that i find particularly annoying to see:.

  russell was a freemason (or, even worse, the wts is part of some other large-scale conspiracy like the illuminati).

  Stupid critisism no1: Pedophiles are protected. (not like Jan who molests young girls openly)

  as for this:

  i just read a remark that joining the jw's was no different than any other church.

  people join because thay find the people are nice and sociable.

  i'm also sure that their intent is to be honest and forthright.

  Are there any ex-missionaries here??

  i have been a missionary in the dominican republic for almost 10 years and i was wondering if there were any ex-missionaries on this forum.. i am back in my country now for 3 years and totally inactive.. what i noticed in those missionary-years was the lack of spiritual interest among the missionaries.. discussions were about rooms, cars and greater responsibilities, the bad territory.

  and the local c.o.s and d.os.. was this only in the dr or are there other experiences??.

  i really don't want to say exactly where i served but it was in a different hemisphere to you and in a politically more stable but no doubt more stone-age place. I was a young man then and tough as nails. I was given some crazy assignments, long trecks through rugged jungle and mountains, and was zealous enough to nearly kill myself carrying them out. The branch overseer just pointed to an untrod area on a dark green map, I said "here i am" and they sent me ;) I say politically stable but there was a civil war when i left lol.

  I'm sorry your experience wasn't as positive as mine. But believe me, I know what "burn-out" is like. One time after two months without hearing another word of my own native tounge I just stared at the shadows on the wall for about a week (giant cockroaches mainly ;)

  Yes at least half the missionaries don't like it (it's easier with single men - we keep them amused with motor bikes and guitars) I still play a good spanish guitar but i don't have to play with motor bikes anymore.

  have noticed in my brief time here that the disobedient (jws who associate with us here) are the nastiest, most antagonistic examples of what it is to not display christian love.

  i am sure most are ambivolent, confused, angry about the cult thing, without a full awareness yet.

  but i suggest, to all of us, that we will learn mroe from each other by maintaining respect for one another.

  To all clean living, god fearing brothers and sisters out there i say my most humble and sincere apology for any offence in seeing this little flock as a wolfpack. What does a farmer do when sheep hide in amoungst wolves? (trade the shotgun in for a rifle i guess)

  wow fulano,

  that is terrible and i have seen that sort of thing too. I served deep in jungle areas, often alone (though we were supposed to be in pairs really ( Some of my partners went mad .. i mean stark raving cukoo after just a month or so, others lasted longer. For better or for worse, i never had a wife back then and mostly enjoyed the freedom and adventure of it. By some miracle i never caught a tropical disease or got eaten by crocodiles, jungle rats and a myriad of other creeping things. It was very hard hot lonely work, and i've seen many things people here would have trouble believing.

  I'd rather not say exactly where i served.

  time can heal most things fulano and i wish you and your good wife the positive state of mind to carry it along.

  we have examined the drains underneath jwforum and found them to be in reasonable condition.

  there is a waste pipe which carries away the effluent to the height of a horses ass.. in the light of these findings we see no reason why apostates should not continue to give thier renderings of exjehovah's witness urban myth and folklore over the sewerage posts of the world.. this situatuion is volotile and could change at any minute.. your most obedient bethelite, going where greater men fear to scrub.. bro.kaiser stulh.. chief sanitary inspecter.
